Simple Chocolate Ganache Recipe

Simple Chocolate Ganache Recipe
Some of you had questions about the chocolate ganache I use on my cakes, so I decided to share its recipe in a separate post with more detail for you. I like to use chocolate bars instead of chips because it tastes better, in my opinion. You may use any chocolate bar you like, but Hershey’s Dark Chocolate is my favorite. It has a rich taste and aroma. You may use this ganache for almost any dessert. When refrigerated the ganache stays very smooth and creamy on cakes and cuts through very easily without cracking. So, if you’re trying to give your dessert a little beauty, try this Simple Chocolate Ganache Rrecipe. 🙂

Ingredients you will need:
6.8 oz. – Hershey Dark Chocolate Bar
¼ cup – 1 % milk + 2 tbsp

Instructions:
1. Pour water into a small pot ¼ full. Place heat proof plate over the pan. Brake chocolate bar to small pieces and add it into a plate and then pour milk.

2. Place the pot with water and plate over it onto a stove top and turn it on high and bring the water in the pot to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and start mixing the milk with chocolate constantly until it becomes smooth in texture with no lumps. Remove the plate carefully from the pot and set aside for the ganache to cool.

3. Once the ganache is cool add 2 tbsp. more of cold milk and then mix well again. You can add more milk or less it depends what thickness you need for your topping decoration.

I doubled the Ganache recipe to dip all 105 of them. So, I used 2 GIANT bars. I hope this helps.

Can we use some other milk chocolate instead of Hershey’s dark chocolate?

I believe it should work the same, but I’ve never tried using milk chocolate before. I love the taste and the look of dark chocolate on baked goods. Thanks for asking!
