Strawberry Vanilla Smoothie

March 4, 2015 By Valya of Valya's Taste of Home 12 Comments

Strawberry Vanilla Smooth
If you love strawberries like we do than you will be delighted with this smoothie. It’s so smooth and full of flavor. We have lots of strawberries growing in our garden that bring us fruit all summer long and kids make this smoothie many times a day. We make it during non harvest time also, but not as much.

I recently was getting over a bad cold with severe cough and craved this smoothie. It helped soothe the cough so I decided to share it with you all. The home grown strawberries give it a sharper flavor but store bought is also pretty good.So here you have a delicious Strawberry Vanilla Smoothie Recipe to enjoy it now or when you get those fresh grown strawberries. 🙂

Ingredients you will need:
24 large – ice cubes
16 large – fresh strawberries
1 cup – plain nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
3 tbsp. – sugar (optional)
½ cup – 1% milk
½ cup – heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. – vanilla extract
Strawberry Vanilla Smooth

Instruction:
1. Place ice cubes and all the ingredients in blender. Blend it on high for 1 minute.

Perfect timing! My daughter has been asking me for a strawberry smoothie and we’ve done a couple, but she didn’t like them. I am going to try your recipe next. Thanks for the recipe.

Is there anything more comforting food than mashed potatoes? It never gets old at our house. I really wanted to post this quick, creamy, and delicious Instant Pot version of it before Thanksgiving to save you time in the upcoming holiday cooking! You know what is the most important thing I absolutely love about making mashed potatoes in the Instant Pot? Once you mash the potato with a hand mixer (or a potato masher) it can be kept in the pot on warm cycle for hours. The taste and texture are the same as it was just freshly mashed!
