This classic Ukrainian Cucumber, Tomato, and Onion Salad Recipe continue to make our most frequent and favorite list. To really see why you simply must taste it! This refreshing goodness is created from fresh homegrown most beloved produce; cucumber, tomato, and onion. We have it most frequently during the summertime not only because these particular veggies grow in abundance but incredibly quick and so simple to produce.
To get the true experience and flavor of such a simple but satisfying salad, you must get your hands-on homegrown veggies. There's just no way around that! Despite chopping of all ingredients in the recipe, it doesn't actually require a lot of prep time. It comes together quick and easy. The onion in this salad adds a perfect hint of sharpness and crispness, and the seasonings make it scrumptious and just tempting.
It's a common struggle for every mom to get kids to eat more veggies. However...
... if you hear your child asking for more salad, you know you've got something good on your hands. Flavor is how you get kids to eat their veggies. At the rate these seemingly bland-looking vegetables fly off the table has confirmed this for me many times. It's a really yummy salad, not to mention super healthy! And what is more trustworthy than 100% homegrown nutrient-rich organic? That's the way the has Lord made it, and it is good!
Please be warned that this salad simply does not taste as it should if you make it out of store-bought vegetables. Even store-bought organic produce doesn't seem to hold the same natural vegetable flavors that homegrown produce offers. So, take advantage of this in-season fresh produce and give this deliciousness a try!

This salad may be chopped ahead of time, but do not mix in the dressing until serving time. Add dressing right before serving to avoid vegetable watering. If you like the salad to be as crunchy as possible, serve it immediately after mixing in the dressing.
