Preparation
If you prefer, you can remove the skins from the drumsticks. This is optional, but we find the dish tastes better without them.Â
Soak the drumsticks for a couple of hours, changing the water every 30 minutes. After soaking, rinse the drumsticks and place them in a strainer to drain the excess water.
Season the Drumsticks
Next, place the drumsticks into a large glass bowl with a lid or a gallon Ziploc bag. Measure out the seasonings, mix them together, and sprinkle them over the drumsticks.
Make sure all the drumsticks are evenly coated with the seasoning. Once done, close the bowl or bag and refrigerate it overnight or for at least 8 hours.
Coat and Bake the Drumsticks
The next day, remove the drumsticks from the fridge and mix them again. Coat the drumsticks with Italian bread crumbs.Â
Arrange the drumsticks on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the coated drumsticks with garlic salt. Bake the drumsticks for 45 minutes at 425 F.
Serve the Drumsticks
Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before transferring the drumsticks to a platter. Enjoy your baked breaded chicken drumsticks with any of your favorite side dishes!

Mrs. Dash is a brand of seasoning that is salt-free and flavorful. If you don't have it, you can substitute it with any other salt-free seasoning blend of your choice.

Yes, you can use other types of breadcrumbs. However, Italian bread crumbs are recommended for their unique flavor that compliments the chicken well.
How to Store Leftovers
- Refrigerate: Store leftover baked breaded chicken drumsticks in an airtight sealed container in the fridge. They will keep well for up to 3 days.
- Reheat Instructions: To reheat, place the drumsticks in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 10-15 minutes, or until heated through. You can also reheat them in a microwave, but the oven method helps to keep the bread crispy.

Valya, did you actually done with mayo? I was thinking if you add mayo it will be more wet rather then dry. Or this chicken is not going to be dry after all? I love your recepies!!! you are so maladets!!
valya'stasteofhome.com says
I add mayo to chicken breast, because the meat it self is on the dry side, see recipe - https://www.valyastasteofhome.com/crusted-parmesan-chicken-breasts, but mayonnaise is not necessary for chicken drumsticks, they already turn out pretty juicy. Its totally OK to add mayo if you wish to. You will need more bread crumbs if you add mayo. I hope this helps.
