Under the Sea Appetizers for Kids

Want your kids to eat more veggies? If they don’t like vegetables, they will! Create a fun environment for the kiddos in the kitchen. Help them with preparing vegetables and the cream if they need assistance, and have them assemble this cute appetizer themselves. One tiny rule….

what you make is what you must eat. Vegetables will taste really good to them on this beautiful creation they’ve accomplished. I got this idea a while back from one of the magazines while waiting in check-out at a grocery store. I don’t remember which one though, to give credit to. We’ve been making this Under the Sea Appetizers for Kids with kids and they absolutely love making and eating them as well.

Not all kids like the taste of garlic in the cream I’ve noticed, so you can make it with and without. You can use different varieties of vegetables like cucumbers, cauliflower, different colors of pepper, salary, etc. Or have them create their own combo. So if you want to do something fun and exciting with your kiddos this Labor Day weekend, give this creation a try. 🙂

¼ bunch – broccoli
½ red – bell pepper
1 cup – colorful gold fishes

  1. too cute! I can totally see these for a themed birthday party. Was going to say for my son but now he’s “too old” for stuff like this (according to him 🙂 ) maybe my girl eventually. Hope you’re doing well with your little one.
