Cheeseburger pizza is inspired by the classic cheeseburger. It typically consists of a pizza crust topped with ground beef, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and with a ketchup sauce base.
To make cheeseburger pizza, start by making homemade pizza dough using my famous recipe. You can use a kitchen aid mixer or bread machine to make the dough.

Next, heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the ground beef and use a spatula to break it up into small pieces. Brown the meat for a few minutes, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
Let the meat sauté for another minute or so, stirring occasionally to prevent it from burning. Set the cooked ground beef aside and let it cool while you prepare the pizza toppings.
How to Assemble Cheeseburger Pizza
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the pizza dough on a pizza stone or pizza pan. Evenly spread ketchup over the dough, followed by ¾ of the grated mozzarella cheese (saving the remaining ¼ for the final topping).
Sprinkle the cooked ground beef over the ketchup and cheese, and then add the remaining toppings: pickles, diced tomatoes, green and red onions.
Finally, spread the reserved mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese over the pizza toppings. If desired, brush the edge of the pizza dough with melted butter and sprinkle it with garlic salt for added flavor.
How to Bake Cheeseburger Pizza
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until the pizza edge is golden brown.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest and cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
