How to Make Garlic Dinner Rolls Dough
To make garlic dinner rolls, begin first by gathering all of the ingredients, including flour, whole milk, sugar, salt, garlic powder, active dry yeast, and butter. Place these ingredients into the pan of your bread maker.
Next, add water and whole milk to the pan.
Once all of the ingredients are in the bread maker, set the machine to the Dough cycle. This will mix and rise the dough, which will take approximately 1 ½ hours.
Alternatively, you can make this recipe using a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for 1 ½ hours.
How to Shape Garlic Dinner Rolls
After the dough has finished mixing and rising, carefully remove it from the bread maker and place it onto a lightly floured surface. This will prevent the dough from sticking.
Coat the dough with flour so the dough doesn't stick to your hand.
To shape the rolls, divide the dough in half.
Take one half of the dough and roll it into a log shape or dough balls.
Then, cut the log into eight equal pieces. Repeat this process with the other half of the dough.
Once you have cut all of the dough into pieces, take each piece and shape it into a ball by rolling it in your hands. Place the balls onto a baking pan that has been greased with olive oil.
How to Bake Garlic Dinner Rolls
Preheat your oven to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, then turn it off. Place the pan with the rolls into the warm oven to allow them to rise further. This will take some time, so be patient.
Once the rolls have risen, remove the pan from the oven and preheat it to 350 ℉.
In a small bowl, whisk together an egg and some water. Use a brush to carefully brush each roll with the egg mixture. This will give them a nice shine and color when they bake.
Sprinkle the rolls with garlic salt for added flavor. Now place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake them for 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.
Once the rolls are finished baking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 minutes before removing them from the pan. Serve the garlic dinner rolls warm for best taste. Enjoy!
