The Best Corn  on the Cob

Arrow

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

– 8 – corn on the cob – ▢2 tbsp. – salt – ▢Water

Step 1

Peel off the outer layer of leaves and remove any remaining silk. Wash the corn to remove any dirt. Place the corn on the cob in a large pot and add enough water to cover about ¾ of the corn. Add salt to enhance the flavor.

Step 2

Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to high. Wait for the water to come to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium to maintain a simmer. Let the corn cook in the simmering water for about 25-30 minutes. Adjust the cooking time based on your preference for the desired tenderness of the corn.

Step 3

Use tongs or a slotted spoon to remove the corn from the pot. Drain the water and let the corn cool for about 15 minutes before serving. If serving to kids, allow it to cool for about 30 minutes. Serve the corn on the cob plain or with butter and additional salt, if desired.
