The Best Turkey Pinwheels (Easy Recipe Ready in 20 Minutes!)
These Turkey Pinwheels are great, healthy snacks that are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and are low in fat. Plus, you can easily make them in just 20 minutes!
Warm the tortillas in the oven for about 1 minute until soft and pliable. Return them to the package and cover with a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm.
Lay one tortilla on a cutting board and spread about 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly over the surface.
Layer about 1½ slices of American cheese near one edge of the tortilla, followed by folded slices of deli turkey, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Starting from the filled edge, roll the tortilla up tightly into a log.
Slice into 1-inch pinwheels with a sharp knife and arrange on a serving platter. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
Notes
Warm the tortillas just until soft so they roll easily without cracking. Avoid overheating, which can make them dry.
Pat the lettuce and tomato slices completely dry before layering to keep the pinwheels from getting soggy.
Spread the mayonnaise evenly across the tortilla to help the fillings stick and create a moisture barrier.
Roll the tortilla tightly but gently to keep the layers intact and the shape neat.
Use a sharp knife to slice for clean, even pieces that hold together well.
Chill the rolled tortillas for 15–20 minutes before cutting if you want firmer, easier-to-handle pinwheels.
Mix up the fillings by adding sliced avocado, cucumbers, or shredded carrots for extra flavor and crunch.
Wrap leftovers tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days to keep them fresh.
For a party platter, make a few different versions using various cheeses or spreads for variety.
Serve them cold or slightly chilled for the best texture and flavor.
