Instructions
Preparing the Maple Granola Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 325 F. This is the first step to make sure that your oven is at the right temperature when you're ready to bake.
Measure out rolled oats, almond slivers, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, and chia seeds. Place these ingredients into a large bowl and set it aside.
Combine your wet ingredients. In a small heatproof glass bowl, mix together coconut oil, organic coconut sugar, maple syrup, vanilla and almond extracts, and sea salt.
Create a water bath to melt and incorporate all the wet ingredients. Place the bowl over the water bath and stir until everything is well combined. Another way is to melt all the wet ingredients in a small sauce pan over low/medium heat stirring constantly until the mixture show first signs of rising bubbles.
Mix the wet and dry ingredients. Pour the liquefied mixture into the large bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir everything together until it is well combined.
Baking the Maple Granola
Prepare your baking sheet. Transfer the mixture onto a large 17 X 22 baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread it into an even layer.
Bake the granola in your preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Let the granola cool. After baking, remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet. This allows the granola to crystallize and harden.
Break the granola into pieces. Once the granola is cold and hardened, break it into your desired piece sizes.
Store the granola. Keep your homemade granola in an airtight sealed container for up to a few weeks.
Enjoy your homemade granola. You can top your favorite yogurt bowl with it or make a granola breakfast parfait. Enjoy the delicious flavors and the health benefits of your homemade maple granola.
