Simple Tossed Salad

This Tossed Salad recipe features crunchy, crisp veggies that are packed with flavor and tossed in a mayo-based salad dressing. It's the perfect side salad!


– 1 small – green cabbage head – ▢4 mini – cucumbers (or 1 English cucumber) – ▢10 oz. – bologna or ham – ▢10 – green onions (or one bunch) – ▢¾ cup - mayonnaise (I like to use homemade mayonnaise) – ▢Salt and black ground pepper to taste

Step 1

Prepare the dressing by combining vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, add thinly sliced cucumbers. Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and toss to coat evenly. Add sliced onions and toss again.

Step 3

Let the salad sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the cucumbers to slightly soften. Just before serving, sprinkle chopped fresh dill over the salad and toss once more.

Step 4

Transfer the salad to a serving bowl or plate. Garnish with a few dill sprigs for an attractive presentation. Serve the tossed cucumber salad chilled and enjoy its refreshing flavors.
