Lazy Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

– 1 medium – green cabbage – ▢2 large – carrots – ▢1.5 lbs. – beef – ▢1 medium – organic yellow onion – ▢2 cups – rice (of your choice, I used white rice) – ▢2 tbsp. - olive oil – ▢3 oz. – organic tomato paste – ▢½ cup – heavy cream – ▢2 cups - cold water – ▢1 tbsp. – parsley – ▢½ tbsp. – sea salt + 1 tsp. - sea salt for the meat sauce – ▢1 tsp. – Mrs. Dash seasoning – ▢½ tsp. – garlic salt – ▢¼ tsp. – black ground pepper

Step 1

Measure out your seasoning, including salt, pepper, parsley, and garlic. Mix them and set aside.

Step 2

Rinse ground beef, pork, or turkey. Cut meat into small pieces. Season meat with the prepared mixture. Marinate meat in the fridge for 2 to 8 hours.

Step 3

Rinse cabbage, shred into thin leaves. Grate carrots and chop onions. Set vegetables aside.

Step 4

Heat a pan on medium heat. Brown the seasoned meat. Add chopped onions, sauté for a minute. Add grated carrots, sauté for another minute.

Step 5

Add tomato paste and heavy cream to the pan. Mix until well blended. Pour in 2 cups of cold water and ½ teaspoon sea salt. Stir and bring to a boil.

Step 6

Rinse white rice. In a large pot, combine shredded cabbage, rice, and meat/cream mixture. Mix well.

Step 7

– Cover the pot or transfer the mixture to a baking dish. – Bake at 375°F for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Step 8

– Remove from the oven and cool for 15-30 minutes. – Your homemade cabbage rolls are ready to serve! Enjoy!
