How to Cook Spaghetti Squash Perfectly

– 1 - medium spaghetti squash – ▢2 tbsp. – olive or avocado oil – ▢½ tsp. – sea salt – ▢⅙ tsp. – freshly cracked black pepper

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F for optimal roasting. Carefully slice the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise, scooping out the seeds with a spoon. Drizzle the insides with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper. For even cooking, poke a few holes in the skin.

Step 2

Place the prepared squash, cut side down, on a baking sheet. Optionally, cover with foil or parchment paper to retain moisture. Roast in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes to an hour, until the squash is tender.

Step 3

Once baked, allow the squash to cool to a warm temperature. With a fork, scrape the flesh into spaghetti-like strands. Season the strands with salt and pepper to taste. Incorporate into your favorite recipes or enjoy as a healthy, pasta alternative. Bon appétit!
