Ingredients
1 ¼
cups
– brown sugar
¾
cup
– Crisco Butter Flavored All-Vegetable Shortening

– milk

tbsp.
– vanilla extract
1
large – egg
1 ¾
cups
– all-purpose flour

tsp.
- salt

tsp.
- baking soda
1 ½

– semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Heat oven to 375 F. Combine brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla in large mixer bowl.
Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add an egg into creamed mixture, and beat is on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
Add flour, salt and baking soda.
Mix into creamed mixture until just blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop about 1.5” round dough balls 3” apart onto baking sheet lined parchment paper.
Bake 10 minutes for chewy cookies.
Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
Remove cookies to plate to cool completely.
