Easy Homemade Chow Mein Noodles (Better Than Takeout!)

Ingredients
2– 6 oz. – chow mein Chuka Soba noodles
16oz.– shredded green cabbage
1large – organic carrot
½medium – organic yellow onion
2large – garlic cloves
1cup– fresh or frozen green peas
¼tsp.– ground black pepper
¼tsp.– red pepper flakes
½tsp.Mrs. Dash seasoning
1tbsp.– brown sugar
⅓– ½ cup – reduced sodium organic soy sauce
2tbsp.– olive oil (flax, vegetable, or coconut oil will work)
1tsp.– toasted sesame oil
Instructions
Rinse and prepare all the vegetables: shred cabbage, cut carrots and onion, and press garlic.
Cook noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Sprinkle with toasted sesame oil and toss to coat. Set aside until ready.
Heat large skillet over high add olive oil (or oil of your choice), add garlic, carrots, onion and fry vegetables for 2 - 3 minutes stirring constantly.
Reduce the heat to medium/high and add cabbage and fry it for about 3 minutes stirring every 30 seconds or so. Then add peas and fry it for another minute or so.
Stir in all the seasoning pepper, pepper flakes, Mrs. Dash, and brown sugar.
Finally, add soy sauce (I used ½ cup), cooked chow mein noodles stir and toss to combine everything using wooden spoon (or silicon spatula) and tongues for about a minute. Remove from the stove and serve right away.
