Ingredients

– 1 lb. – grass-fed ground beef (80/20 lean to fat ratio) – ▢1 tsp. – salt or to taste – ▢½ tsp. – freshly cracked black pepper or to taste – ▢8 slices – mozzarella cheese – ▢12 slices – large peperoni disks – ▢½ cup – pizza sauce (I used homemade pizza sauce) – ▢4 - burger buns (you can use Brioche buns or my homemade burger buns for this recipe)

Step 1

– Divide 1 pound of ground beef into 4 portions and shape into patties. – Preheat the grill to 350°F and place the patties on it. – Season with salt and pepper, cook and flip after a few minutes. – Add mozzarella cheese and pepperoni to each patty as they finish cooking. – Toast the buns on the grill.

Step 2

– Place the bottom half of a toasted bun on a plate. – Optionally, add a slice of cheese on the bun. – Put the grilled burger with cheese and pepperoni on the bun. – Spoon warm pizza sauce on top of the burger. – Place the top half of the bun over the burger.
