Homemade Teriyaki Glaze

Ingredients

– ½ cup - water – 6 tbsp. - brown sugar – 2 tbsp. - cornstarch – ½ tsp. - ground fresh ginger – ½ tsp. - ground or minced garlic clove – ½ cup - reduced sodium soy sauce – ¼ cup - organic apple cider vinegar – 2 tbsp. - raw honey

Step 1

Start by mincing ginger and garlic. Set them aside until ready for use.

Step 2

Measure out and pour all the ingredients into a small pot.

Step 3

Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Turn the heat off and let it boil for one minute (if you are using a gas stove burner, turn the fire to very low and cook for a minute).

Step 4

Place a strainer over a glass bowl and strain the glaze while it's hot (once it cools it's harder to strain).

Step 5

Cool and glaze the meat of your choice.

How to Store

You can store leftover glaze in an airtight container or glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
