Ingredients

Pumpkin Rolls Batter Ingredients – ▢1 cup – warm water – ▢¼ cup – organic sugar (or white granulated sugar) – ▢1 tbsp. – dry active yeast – ▢2 large eggs + 1 egg yolk – ▢½ tsp. – sea salt – ▢½ cup – pumpkin pure (I used homemade pumpkin puree) – ▢4 oz. – unsalted butter (softened to room temperature) – ▢5 cups – flour Pumpkin Rolls Wash Ingredients – ▢1 large – egg white – ▢2 tbsp. – water – ▢Sesame seeds

Step 1

Combine lukewarm water, sugar, and yeast in a mixer bowl. Stir until sugar dissolves. Place in a warm spot to activate the yeast. Measure and sift the flour. Set it aside.

Step 2

Crack the eggs into a bowl. Separate one egg white into a small bowl for later use. – In the mixer bowl, combine egg yolks, egg whites, and the yeast mixture.  Add salt and pumpkin puree. Whisk together.

Step 3

Gradually mix in half of the flour. Incorporate softened butter.

Step 4

Add remaining flour gradually until the dough is smooth and not sticking to the sides. Cover and let rise in a warm place for an hour.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 325°F. Divide and shape the dough into rolls. Brush with an egg white wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 6

Bake for 17 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a rack and serve warm. Enjoy your Pumpkin Dinner Rolls!
