.... and I’d like to share with all of you my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. This recipe makes chocolate chip cookies turn out super soft and taste so remarkable that kids will jump up and down with joy and glee at first bite. At least my younger siblings did. Knowing just how to nail an incredible batch of chocolate chip cookies are basically a baking prerequisite and many girls’ personal little accomplishment in future baking endeavors. So I’ve tried different kinds of recipes, but this recipe takes the prize. The cookies are super soft, chewy, rich and so irresistible that I thought we were going to eat the whole batch of them all at once. No kidding, that's how tempting and delicious they are. This recipe is uncomplicated and effortless to make. With my easy recipe, you'll have soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies to enjoy with a cup of ice cold milk in no time! I say nothing beats a batch of chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven. I think most would agree. ~ Elona ~ 😉
Ingredients you will need:
1 ¼ cups – brown sugar
¾ cup – Crisco Butter Flavored All-Vegetable Shortening
2 tbsp. – milk
1 tbsp. – vanilla extract
1 large – egg
1 ¾ cups – all-purpose flour
½ tsp. - salt
1 tsp. - baking soda
1 ½ cups – semi sweet chocolate chips
1. Heat oven to 375 F. Combine brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla in large mixer bowl.
2. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy.
3. Add an egg into creamed mixture, and beat is on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
4. Add flour, salt and baking soda.
5. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended.
6. Stir in chocolate chips.
7. Drop about 1.5” round dough balls 3” apart onto baking sheet lined parchment paper. Bake 10 minutes for chewy cookies.
8. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
9. Remove cookies to plate to cool completely.
